Hello! Here again this glorious Thursday to bring you this unbelievably quick and yummy recipe for homemade granola and/or granola bars. This recipe comes from "The Kitchen"specifically funny man Jeff Mauro. He showed this awesome and quick recipe and I was like, "I have to make this!" the actual recipe can be found here but I'm going to include my tweaks on it and my step by step instructions.

Ready? Let's go!

Ingredients are:
3 c rolled oats (Use the quick oats only!)
2 tbsp sugar (any kind; granulated, brown, cane, stevia, whatever!)
2 tsp cinnamon (obvs. you can sub for your favorite spice whether it be allspice, pumpkin pie spice, ginger, nutmeg, or any mix of the aforementioned...)
1 tsp salt
1/4 c oil (again your choice, I used canola)
1/2 c maple syrup (you can sub something like honey or agave nectar here)
2 tsp vanilla extract (an alternative is almond extract or coffee extract)
1-2 c dried fruits and/or nuts, depends on how much you want in there.

Preheat the oven at 300° F
So basically you just mix everything!
Then you spread it on a silicone mat like I did or you can use a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and non-stick spray.

Bake it at 300° F for 30 minutes. If your oven tends to run high, drop it down to 275 - 280°. Keep an eye on it, you'll know it's done when the edges start to brown.

After the 30 minutes are up, let it cool for another half hour.

After that, either crumble it with your hands or knife or if you have a mallet, use that. If you're planning on make bars, use a sharp butchers knife to make 8 - 10 4x2" bars. Like this! ⬇

Now eat! And enjoy! It's soooooo yummy! I promise you! Remember to store in an air tight container for up to a week or two. Though I doubt it'll last that long!

As always,
