Bonjour messieurs et mesdames!!!!
One of my bucket list foods to make were croissants. Buttery, flaky, warm crescent pillows of yumminess.... Mmm...
But I've always been intimidated to make them! I never thought I could conquer the skills necessary to make a decent croissant. Like I would need to take a whole course at Le Courdon Bleu or something.
But no more!! Thanks to PureWow!! I stumbled across this post on Facebook and I decided to put away my fears and conquer the croissant!

Alright, now for time purposes I have to keep this recipe short and sweet, so I won't re-post the entire recipe and directions. But again, the link to this awesome recipe is ---> HERE
Now I followed the recipe to the letter and of course I have accompanying pictures. Full disclosure, my croissants aren't super pretty but I think I should get a beginner's discount in that department. This recipe says it yields about 2 1/2 dozen croissants, for me, I got 2 dozen.
I mixed, chilled, folded, chilled, folded, chilled, cut, roll, froze 16 and baked the other 8. I have to say, it is a waiting game. A lot of time and patience goes into this recipe, but I promise it's worth it.

I like to bake at night, so that's why my pictures aren't bright and sunny, but I think you still get the jist.
Definitely check this out and one of these weekend mornings, whip out your inner baker and marvel at the awesomeness you create!!
À bientôt,
Xoxo, Danie
