Hello loves!!! I'm starting off this week with some fun! And what could be more fun than board games that leave you anything but bored (see what I did there?). I'm talking about three games I was able to experience with my family and friends from an amazing company called RoosterFin. They develop the kookiest and out of the box games that are guaranteed to put a smile on your face and laughter in your belly and through Tryazon I was selected to host a party sponsored by them. Again, you guys know I keep it real, so all opinions are 100% me. Let's start with the things other than the games. I'll get more in depth with each in a bit. First up is the placard with all the characters on it. I of course placed that on the main table we played the games on. Next up is Rooster Fin's newsletter. It included information about their other games like Monkey Up and Turtle Flip, the inventor Mr. Joe RoosterFin and their social media contact information. Also the company just turned 5 years old, so congrats on that! Lastly, there were game instructions and coupons for myself and my partygoers. There will be information at the end of the post about how you can win a coupon for yourself. First game up, Mohawkz!!!! |
This a game for 1-3 players ages 8 and up. It comes with a ramp and three pairs of matching colored balls, all with Mohawks of course. The object of this game is simple. First you place the target ramp on the table and every player takes a pair of matching colored balls. Everyone takes turns trying to bounce the ball into the target. There's no rules as to how you do it, bounce it off your head, the wall, the ceiling, just get it into the target! There's one point for every shot made and first person to 7 points win.
I have to say that everyone had fun playing this, although it was hard to the hang of it at first. Once we figured it out, our inner LeBron James came bursting through.
Next game up, Rooster Race!!!!

Next game up, Rooster Race!!!!
This is a game for 1-5 players, ages 5 and up. It came with a deck of numbered cards and plastic corn. Object of the game is to have the most corns by the time all cards have been flipped.
First, place all corn in the center of the table. Then shuffle all the cards and place the top card face up on the table. Each player gets dealt 14 cards face down. It's important no one sees their cards. The main deck gets put in the middle and the players take turns guessing whether the top card in their personal deck is higher or lower than the center card. So if the center card has a 7, like in the picture above, you'd each try to guess if the top card in your deck is higher or lower than seven. And if you're right, you can take a corn from the pile, if you're wrong, you have to return a corn to the pile. The game continues until all cards have been flipped.
This game was really fun to play and easy to understand for all ages.
Last game, Lumpy Cubes!!!

Last game, Lumpy Cubes!!!
I have to first say that this was honestly everyone's personal fave. I think it a combination of trying to figure out how to put your stack together while doing it before everyone else. It came with four sets or four colored cubes (though I think they're more trapezoids than cubes) and a deck of cards showing varying stack combinations. The game is for 1-4 players, ages 6 and up. The setup is simple, shuffle the cards and place them, face up, in the center of the table. All players pick up their cubes and on the count of three, they drop it and race to stack their cubes to match the card. First player to match and yell "Lumpy!" wins the card. First to get three cards win.
